Funeral service for William Daniel "Danny" Marburger, age 64, of Woodward, Oklahoma will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Jackson Funeral Home in Frederick, Oklahoma with Pastor Greg Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery in Indiahoma under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick. Mr. Marburger passed away on April 29, 2018 in an Oklahoma City hospital.
William Daniel "Danny" Marburger was born on January 6, 1954 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Paul Rudolph and Grace Leona (Jones) Marburger. He was baptized January 17, 1954 at St. John Lutheran Church in Lawton. Danny was confirmed on June 6, 1967 at the Bethel Lutheran Church in Dallas, Texas. He had attended Cache Public Schools. He served in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged om July 28, 1972. On May 24, 1974, Danny was united in marriage to Paula Dee Stoll in Lawton, Oklahoma. He had worked as a Pipe Fitter/Welder for General Motors in Oklahoma City for many years before retiring in 2006. He enjoyed golfing, rodeoing, playing the guitar, working with his hands, carpentering and building things. Danny's faith was important to him so in order to touch others' lives, he chose to be an organ donor. His grandchildren were his life. Danny was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Woodard.
He is survived by his wife, Paula Stoll Marburger; two sons, Jeff Marburger and his wife Erin of Blanchard,Oklahoma and Michael Marburger and his wife Tricia of Lake Eufaula, Oklahoma; one brother, Ron Marburger and his wife Pam of Fort Worth, Texas; one brother-in-law, Todd Stoll and his wife Marie of Woodward, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Morgan States, Sydney Estes and Mason Marburger; one great-grandchild, Ellie Tankersley; and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Grace Marburger; his father-in-law and mother-in law; Raymond and Dolores Stoll.
