Memorial Service for William Roy Pounds, age 85, of Frederick, Oklahoma, will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 12, 2023, at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Les Banks officiating.   Mr. Pounds passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at Ayers Nursing Home in Snyder, Oklahoma.

William Roy was born September 27, 1937, in Frederick, Oklahoma to William W. "Bill" and Della Mae (Pruitt) Pounds.  He attended Frederick public schools, graduating with the Class of 1955.  He later attended Cameron College in Lawton.   Roy began his work career with Dallas Airmotive and later, Aviall for many years.   He also worked as a Glazier Glass Cutter for Dombrowski Glass Company and Frederick Glass and Mirror.   In his later years, he enjoyed working as a custodian for Frederick Grade School.   Roy enjoyed living at the Frederick Hotel where he could visit with various business owners and the folks downtown.  He loved to hunt for good antiques and also enjoyed riding his bicycle around town.

He is survived by special friends, Phyllis Pence and Jackie Herring, and his special little buddies, Maddie and Parker.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Della Mae Pounds; one sister, Neva Jean Cosgrove, and her husband, Bill Cosgrove.

A special thank you to the Frederick Nursing Center for your attentive care.  Roy truly cared for each of you, he always told us that you would come each day to check on him.  We appreciate your kindness and love shown to him.
