Zachary Covington Stewart, age 51, of Altus, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday evening, March 16, 2024, at the Magnolia Creek Skilled Nursing & Therapy in Altus, Oklahoma.  Cremation service has been entrusted to Jackson Funeral Home of Frederick, Oklahoma.

Zachary was born June 25, 1972, in Irving, Texas, to Kenneth Wayne Stewart and Peggy L. (Covington) Gallerani.  He received his education from the Arlington and Texarkana schools, where he enjoyed playing soccer and baseball.  He graduated from Pleasant Grove high school in Texarkana, Texas, with the Class of 1991.  Zachary was a truck driver in the oil field.  He also worked at the Southwest Oklahoma Juvenile Center in Manitou, Oklahoma.  He was an outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing.  He was also an animal lover, always having cats or dogs around.

He is survived by his beloved family; mother, Peggy Gallerani and her husband Ray of Arlington, Texas; father, Ken Stewart and his wife Becky, of Texarkana, Texas; two sisters, Tacy Stewart of Whitney, Texas and Ginger Lynch of Houston, Texas; a brother, Ryan Gallerani and his wife Kelsey, of Puyallup, Washington; stepsister, Amy Donahue of Venice, Texas, and a niece and several nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Benjamin Stewart and Kenneth "Kenny" Stewart, II; and his Grandparents, Otis and Ollie Covington, Juanita Stewart Garza and Frank Stewart.
